Songs for Haiti
The horrific situation in Haiti has been on everyone’s hearts and minds. If you would like to help out and receive some free music at the same time, check out Paste Magazine’s Songs for Haiti. I’ve donated an exclusive live track which you can download by going to the Paste website. At the time of this writing there were more than 350 tracks available for download – all you have to do is make a donation of any size.
Wine! Women! Song!

I’m so excited to be back on the road with my sisters in song, Suzy Bogguss and Matraca Berg. This February will bring 2 rare U.S. Wine, Women & Song shows – We’ll be up in Columbus, OH at Columbus Maennerchor* on February 6th, and at Eddie’s Attic** in Decatur, GA on February 24th. There are no other US WW&S shows on the books as of this writing, so if you’re near either Columbus or Atlanta, make plans to come see us.
*Tickets for the Columbus show can be purchased by emailing Alec Wightman or phoning 614-296-5006.
**Tables at Eddie’s Attic are sold out, but general admission tickets still remain – you can purchase them at Eddie’s website.
See the Tour Page for all details.
Our Glamorous Fantasy Lives
Matraca, Suzy and I spent an afternoon hanging around with Amanda Holden of “Britain’s Got Talent” last year, and we’re going to be on her new ITV show “Fantasy Lives” next Tuesday, February 9 at 9PM GMT. Amanda came to Nashville to “uncover the hard work, day to day reality and grit that lies beneath the glamorous public face” of a country singer. We opened a bottle of wine with her and dished. If you’re in the UK tune in a week from Tuesday!
Circus Girl – Without A Net!
Dates are being confirmed for a very special UK Tour coming this May – the “Without A Net” tour. Shows have already been confirmed for London, Cambridge, Derby, Bilston, Wavendon and Selby. We’ll make all the dates available on the website as soon as possible. Here’s the press release:
In celebration of the release of Circus Girl: The Best Of Gretchen Peters, Peters will be embarking on her first-ever “all request” tour in 2010. The intimate show will encompass and highlight her entire body of work and feature the stories behind the songs, personal anecdotes and glimpses behind the scenes of her 20+ year career. The set list (composed entirely of requests by fans via email, Twitter, Facebook and Peters’ website) will doubtless include fan favorites such as “On A Bus To St. Cloud” and “Sunday Morning (Up and Down My Street)” as well as more obscure selections from the Deluxe Limited Edition of Circus Girl, which contains 16 tracks of rarities and previously unreleased songs. The “Circus Girl – Without A Net Tour” opens in the UK in May 2010.
Janis, Craig, Tony and me

I’ll be reuniting with Janis Ian, Craig Carothers and Tony Arata at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, TN on Feb. 20 for another in-the-round performance. If you’re in Nashville come see us – but be sure to make reservations early as this one always sells out in a hurry! Tickets go on sale one week before the performance and must be purchased online at the Bluebird website.
Download of the Month
In honor of the upcoming Wine, Women & Song shows this month, February’s download is a live recording of Suzy, Matraca and myself at one of my favorite venues in the world – The Sage in Gateshead, UK. The track was recorded on May 30, 2009 during the last WW&S UK Tour. Visit the Download page to get February’s free download. Enjoy!
