2012 Highlights

It’ll take me awhile to process everything that happened in 2012. It was an amazing year that went by so fast I’m not sure how it got to be December already. Covering all the highlights would be difficult, but here are some of my favorite moments, in no particular order.

  1. Great recap of such a wonderful year for two special people. My New Years resolution is to to ya’ll perform once or twice in 2013. May you both enjoy true happiness and good health for many years to come.

  2. Just like Dierks Bentley sings, “Every mile a memory . . .” What wonderful pictures . . . especially the one of Gretchen and Barry at BBC Radio 2 . . . so much in love!

May 2013 be equally as memorable and magical for you both!

  3. Heard Gretchen’s ‘Dark Angel’ with Rodney Crowell on Satellite TV, immediatelyl copied down the details and phoned the one and only remaining Sam The Record Man store in all of Canada, in Belleville, Ontario… and now thanks to Sam’s I have the most incredible CD of 2012 in my car stereo to make me wish my half hour commmute to work was longer!!!

  4. Hi gretchen,
I heard mention of a “book”…..oh, I would love to know your journey, something to read before bedtime!

Love ya and Matraca, and Marshall….play your DVD all the time. You are all an inspiration to me in
my own musical journey at 71 years old. I still have a dream.

Neets in utah (you have one of my pictures of you on your web site).

  5. Hi Gretchen
Have enjoyed following your year last year, and have just got my tickets for your Liverpool show, so I am really looking forward to seeing you again soon!
love your blog and the photos and staying connected through fb

    keep up the happy vibe!

  6. I saw your picture of the Crystal Theater in Okemah, OK. Sure was hot there wasn’t it? 🙂 In fact, my wife couldn’t stand the heat any longer, and sat out Arlo in the pick-up with the A/C running. While you were signing CD’s I told you that I’d never heard of you, but having heard you sing, I’d put you right up on top of my list, along with Karen Carpenter. Still mean that.

I’m waiting patiently for you to come back to Oklahoma. Maybe in an air conditioned theater next time.
