“Peters’ impeccable lyrics, her knack for story telling and her heartfelt vocals make this album an extraordinary and emotional album. But not, thankfully, so grim that it becomes depressing. Instead, it’s a record that seems to speak to us on a very intimate level, allowing us to address our biggest fears about growing old and dying in a strangely reassuring way. And although it seems odd to suggest that a record so overtly about death might somehow be a comfort for those facing the end (either for themselves or others), the honesty, the emotion and the beauty of this record might just make it that.”
It’s a genuinely remarkable album.
