“Blackbirds” review – The Sun (UK)

Some artists hit the ground running, while others get better with age and experience. As she approaches 20 years of making records, Peters is in the latter camp and has delivered this Americana tour de force.

Blackbirds is filled with beautifully crafted songs that ebb and flow with equal doses of grace and grit as she tackles some of life’s big issues – including love, loss and getting old.

Just let the sublime Pretty Things wash over you or be seriously moved by The Cure For The Pain.

With a supporting cast of some of Nashville’s finest musicians, Peters has built on the great Hello Cruel World and her time is definitely now.
