Live review: Luxor Live, Arnhem, Netherlands

Next to the great title song Blackbirds the crowd at this special seated concert also gets to hear Pretty Things and the sensitive The House on Auburn Street on which the impressive harmony singing of Peters, Walsh and McCreanor stands out as well. Peters herself plays the acoustic guitar and, like always, sings with the voice of an angel. However most impressive are the vivacious and highly moving lyrics. Peters is known to be a very gifted songwriter. This celebrated and multiple award winning artist is one of the leading songwriters in roots music and Americana. Next to her own beautiful songs Peters wrote songs for Etta James, Neil Diamond, Martina McBride, Anne Murray and many others.
