Gretchen’s 2000 self-titled album marks the beginning of her career as an independent, self-produced artist, and kicks off with “Souvenirs”, a song that went on to become a hit by friend and future “Wine, Women & Song” singing partner Suzy Bogguss. Other artists who would cover songs from this album include Patty Loveless (“Like Water Into Wine”) and Jimmy LaFave (“Revival”). Produced by Green Daniel and Gretchen Peters, Gretchen Peters features a guest appearance by frequent cowriter, Bryan Adams.
